Now you can dress like Carly. Carly's costume from "Stick It" is now up for sale. It's currently under $100 but that will probably go up. Her bracelets from "Stick It" are also up for very cheap. Worth a look.

Minnesota Press Tour Downloads

It was an early day for both me and Carly. Luckily, Carly kept my informed and told me what she was going to be on. So thanks for that. Anyway, Carly did three interviews this morning. Not a whole lot new, mostly promotion for Visa Nationals. Never-the-less, it's Carly so I got them. I was also able to capture the interview in HD which looks pretty cool. The downloads are below.

Prom, Graduation, and More
|
As you may, or may not know, Carly recently went to Prom and Graduated. Being the awesome web site we are, we have pictures from both (with expressed written consent from Carly). Carly sounds really nice at both events and it's cool to think that Carly does the same stuff we do. I've posted the link to the pictures below.
Carly's Prom/ Graduation 2006 Pictures
Carly will have a book signing tomorrow at Svetlana Boginskaya's Camp in Atlanta. Also, one in North Carolina, date unknown. She'll also have an appearance at the ninth annual Father of the Year banquet June 16 at Southfork Ranch. That's in Texas. Carly has said that her record company really liked her demos. Could an album be just around the corner? There's a good chance.

Carly in Teen People June/ July 2006 Issue
|
Carly has an article in the June/ July issue of Teen People. People made the mistake of printing her age as 19. Which as you know, is incorrect. Anyway, it's a great article about Carly's workout. She tells you how to do what she does to stay fit and it includes pictures showing you how to. The issue is hitting newsstands now.

Book Review Time
|
I recently purchased Carly's latest book (and official book) Carly Patterson: Be Strong. Which I've talked about a few times on here. After going through the book I thought I'd write a brief review.
The book "Carly Patterson: Be Strong" is the best of the four Carly books, by far. Mainly because this is an official book and includes a lot of exclusive pictures and facts. The book is targeted for kids, 9-12. However, it's still a good book for older Carly fans. It includes several unique pictures of Carly all the way from baby to signing her record contract. The book focuses on how Carly worked hard to work the Olympics. Hence the sub-title of "Be Strong".
The first section of the book it titled "Louisiana". This part of the book talks about Carly's beginning in Gymnastics. The second section is called "Texas". This talks about how Carly began to work her way up in Gymnastics. It talks about her first year as an Elite Gymnast. The third section is called "Athens". I'm guessing you have a pretty good idea of what this section is about. Carly talks a lot about her feelings during Athens and winning the Gold medal. The last section is called "The Stars". This focuses on post-Athens Carly. She talks about the big welcoming she received when she came back from Athens. She also talks about the awards she has gotten and the picture she has meet.
I'd recommend to this book to all Carly fans. This would also be a great book for any kids who are just beginning in Gymnastics. If you would like to buy the book, please click here.

Stick It Premiere

Stick It! - "It's Gymnastics, Not Gym-Nice-Tics"
|
As some you probably know, a movie based on the world of gymnastics will be released later this month. Other then based on Carly's sport, she has a small part in Stick It. Towards the end of the movie, she asks the main character for her autograph. Carly will be attending the premiere of Stick It on April 17. So expect tons of pictures shortly afterward. I really don't know the release of Stick It. It's been moved from April 28 to April 21 and back but maybe not back. So check local listings or whatever.
